Review Sheet - Exam #3 - F '08

General:  The exam will be very similar to the second exam and especially to the quizzes that have been posted in our Public Folder.  I have also posted on-line a series of sample exam questions that show the range of question styles that you may find on the exam.

Essentially anything that we covered in class if "fair game" for the exam.   In general, the review questions at the end of each chapter in the text are excellent and applicable to our studies and could be included on the exam.

FamiliesThe families listed below will be covered on the exam.  PowerPoints and Quizzes for each are posted in the Public Folder.  For more information about these families, check out the websites listed below.  The quizzes are a good guide to the types of questions that you are likely to see on the exam.  For each family you should try to remember: (a) 5 or 6 key features that separates it from other families; (b) fun facts (distribution, economic importance), and (c) any especially any unique feature(s) of the family (e.g., pollinia in Orchidaceae).  I've included some suggestions for studying families in the Plant Family index page.
