Dr. John F. Olson

Dr. Olson joined the Economics faculty at the College of St. Benedict (and St. John's University) in 1985 and retired in May 2017. Prior to his time at CSB/SJU, he taught at Xavier University in Cincinnati, Ohio and at the University of Connecticut (Storrs). He earned M.A. and Ph.D. degrees in Economics from the University of Rochester in Rochester, New York and his B.A. in Economics (with Distinction) from DePauw University. His primary areas of interest and expertise within Economics are American Economic History, Macroeconomics, and Monetary Economics.
