April 2010 - The recent 30th anniversary Revell-Monogram re-issue of this classic kit included newly-tooled gray parts for the cockpit tub, engines, clear canopy and other parts, and an updated & expanded decal sheet. Hmm... now, how to retrofit my existing build to include the 'pit.

Storytime... back in the day when it looked like my kit "collection" was getting out of hand - I had maybe a couple dozen kits at the time - I drew lots to see what kit I should build and finish. This is that kit. 30 years & a couple hundred more kits later... yeah, that drawing worked out well.
