General Format:  
    Author AB, Author BB (1977) Title of article. Journal Volume Number: start page - end page.

Example: 

Singer R (1956) Contributions towards a monograph of the genus Pluteus. Transactions of the British Mycological Society 39: 145-232.

Notes:

1. Each scientific discipline and journal has its own format for citing references. The one that we will use is adapted from the journal Plant Physiology.  Do not use MLA or APA format.
2. If you cite electronic sources, consult the library web page for information on the proper citation style.
