Flora of Site 80 - St. Cloud, Minnesota
The City of St. Cloud commissioned a study by Short, Elliot, and Hendrickson, Inc. to identify high quality natural areas remaining within the City. The study identified more than 150 natural areas within city limits. Site 80 (N124, W28, Sec 21) is such natural area. Site 80 is an oak woodland and was ranked as low quality by the Short et al. study. The purpose of this study was to identify some of the common species growing on the site.
The following species were recorded by John Peck, Linda Peck, Eve Wallinga, Gary Wallinga, and Stephen Saupe during a visit to the site on June 9, 1996. No herbarium specimens were taken. Some species are not known with certainty and are indicated by the abbreviated 'cf.'
