Don't waffle. Say what you believe, and support it.

For example, when I recently re-read the chapter, I was thinking about chaos theory, and how it might relate to behavior theory. If I was a student in this course, I would frame that as a question (kind of like Jeopardy!) , and then explain why I'm interested in this question.

The definition of negative reinforcement on the bottom of p. 27 is inappropriate. The second diagram at the end of the second paragraph under the heading Operant Conditioning: Research Paradigms is better viewed as punishment, rather than negative reinforcement. Also, the diagram at the top of p. 28 is not terribly clear. We will explain it more fully in class.

give an original example of human behavior for each of these.

On page 62 and 27 (and elsewhere), the authors use the term negative reinforcer in a way that many behaviorists (including me) would object to. The term aversive stimulus is more appropriate in the context of their usage.
