Greetings, individual registrants to the 1998 Summer Institute.
The three of us are at the SI to provide
you with an experience similar to that of campus team participants, but one that focuses
on your specific needs as individual registrants. Our daily "team time" will
provide an orientation to the TLTR program and its various initiatives, and will include
brief presentations on model TLTRs from different types of institutions, TLTR case study
discussions, and information on TLT Group capabilities and the possibility of hosting a
regional TLTR event.
Sessions will also include discussion/demonstration of effective uses of technology to support teaching and learning, and provide a forum for participants to discuss their own campus issues and to exchange information and ideas from concurrent Institute sessions. Past participants in these Individual Team sessions have found them valuable, not only for their content, but for their ability to provide a group of peers to to work and socialize with over the course of the Institute. We represent the Professional and Organizational Development Network in Higher Education (POD), which is co-sponsoring the Summer Institute. POD is an organization of people who work with faculty to ehance teaching and learning. To find out more about POD, you can click on the POD graphic to the right.
