Type I: The Phoenix from TNG's The Wounded

The Nebula class' first appearance had it sporting an AWACS-like superstructure -- presumably a weapons or sensor platform -- mounted on two vertical struts.

This Nebula was outfitted with a thicker, triangular pod mounted on a single large pylon aft on the secondary hull above the impulse engine and hangar.
