I still have my original moon bus kit from the release of the movie. But, back then I was young and foolish, and would paint models with whatever colors I had on hand. Colors like sky blue, chocolate brown, silver, tan, and chartreuse.

Over time, several parts have broken or been lost. Also, the window glazing is badly scuffed and hazy. But then, the windows from the kit aren't accurate anyway, so they'll be replaced in the rebuild with accurate windows.

The first step is to make RTV molds of some of the landing pad parts in order to replace missing pieces.  The trickiest piece to replace will be the antenna.

Or... just wait for the Moebius re-issue in 2010.
